We are pleased to inform you that we have been awarded the Green Key label, the 1st international environmental label for tourist accommodation and catering. Since our takeover of the campsite in 2018, we have adopted a sustainable development approach. We apply a policy of small steps…at a strong pace 😊 We have shared our views on a number of concrete actions, such as our commitment to zero phyto, zero waste, the LPO Refuge and our work on energy, water and support for local players.
As of 2019, we wanted to affirm our commitment to the environment by applying for the Green Key, the leading international environmental label for tourist accommodation and catering. We are delighted to announce today that our Green Key label has been renewed for 2025, with the congratulations of the jury if you please!
The Green Key award is a leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This prestigious eco-label represents a commitment by businesses that their tourism establishments adhere to the strict criteria as stipulated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). A Green Key stands for an establishment’s promise to its guests that by opting to stay with such an establishment, they are helping to make a difference on an environmental and sustainability level. The high environmental standards expected of these establishments are maintained through rigorous documentation and frequent audits.
“The Jury is pleased to award you the Green Key label for 2025 with its congratulations. They appreciated the seriousness of your environmental commitment, which was expressed in your application and during the audit visit. In fact, 89% of the Green Key criteria have already been implemented in your organisation.
Numerous positive points have been developed, which enhance the value of your approach. We noted that you are strongly involved in the social, environmental and economic aspects of your region. You use creative means to promote your environmental approach by involving your customers and local stakeholders.
Please do not hesitate to keep the team informed of your future projects with photos and feedback, so that we can promote your commitment and add to our tool for sharing good practice. Your actions could become examples for other establishments in the Green Key network.
We wish you every success in your projects and congratulate you once again.”
