More than a campsite, Le Rêve is a garden with numerous species of trees and shrubs that we are committed to maintaining and developing. We wanted to share the richness of this heritage and present some of these species to you. To carry out this mission, we welcomed Gilberte as an intern during the months of April and May 2022. We present here a summary of her work which will be shared during the Fête de la Nature and will remain available on the campsite.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gilberte very warmly. It was a great pleasure to welcome her to Le Rêve to share her work on a theme that is close to our hearts. It was also an opportunity for us to learn from her, her experience and her story. We are very happy with her work and look forward to sharing it with you.
I am Gilberte KOULO, a student in a Life and Earth Sciences degree at the University of Southern Brittany (Vannes).
Of Beninese nationality, I am passionate about nature and everything that is in it. Indeed, I had a basic degree in Agronomy. After obtaining this diploma, I decided to continue my studies in Environmental Sciences. This training corresponds perfectly to what I need to be an engineer in Environmental Management and Protection later on. Ensuring the protection of the environment is a priority for me.
My internship was part of a project to contribute to the protection of the biodiversity of the environment of Camping Le Rêve. Indeed, this internship is part of a project of the campsite that aims to enhance its environment. Therefore, I proposed for the tourists playful guides on the recognition of trees and their importance at any age level. In this guide, we can find a general description of the trees. On the other hand, there are small cards attached to the trees with QR codes giving access to the detailed description of the catalogue.
The tree is a living being that interacts with its environment. Learn more about the relationships between plant species, between trees and birds. Know how to observe the tree to recognize it.
Take a walk around the campsite and discover some of the species that grace the park.
Only the tree that has suffered the assaults of the wind is truly vigorous, for it is in this struggle that its roots, put to the test, are strengthened
